A huge thanks goes out to Dave for braving the heat and getting so many shots of the team in action!

I have posted a few shots from bil elsinger in the photo gallery. (Thanks again to bil for allowing us to post them!)

From the looks of these it is the Cam Milani show! I will post some more shots as they roll in... (i know Alison was very active on the sidelines with her and Graham's camera!) So send me some Goat shots if you have them please.

UPA Nationals
04.11.2004

We had a great week at the UPA Championships in Sarasota last week! Although we came in 15th, it was a great learning experience for us to be there.

Here is how one of our team captains put it:

"I think the biggest thing we take away from our first time to UPA’s is what the other teams were doing around us. The way other teams were able to focus and push themselves at the end of games when things were tight.

People really stepped up. On the field and in leadership roles this year. I think a lot of people really raised their level of personal accountability this season and their team pride and it showed. The depth is far more even on this team then ever before."

I think we are all feeling more pumped than ever about playing for Goat next year... Training for next fall began the day we got back from Florida!

FALL
19.09.2004

Fall is upon us and Goat is gearing up for The UPA Fall series.

This summer for Goat found many of the heard playing in Finland (10 guys were representing Canada) and so the focus was a little different than last year. A partial squad played at Nationals in Vancouver and had to settle for 3rd place. Now the focus is onto the UPA fall series for the team.

Unfortunately we were not able to go to the Chicago Heavyweight tournament as we were planning to do due to a scheduling conflict with the one-day sectionals in our section. So we went to Rochester and maintained our top seed out of the Upstate New York section. Regionals are in 3 weeks in Boston.

2004 Season
21.04.2004

GOAT started in 2002 with aspirations of a Canadian National Championship. That was the easy part. 2003 did not bring back the National Championship, but has established us as one of the premiere teams in the world by winning and placing exceptionally well in tournaments around North America.

For the 2004 season, DJ will be taking over the leadership from Hoover. Boog will be co-captain.

The team’s goals will be focused towards the UPA Championships in the fall and what needs to be done to get there.

We will be holding some touring level clinics once the fields are ready in the Toronto area and look to help build the future of ultimate in Toronto by supporting the young players and developing teams in the city.
