I am officially on Blog hiatus.
At this time in my life i really have not been able to dedicate any time to this and so i am going to take a break.
i can’t believe it is almos February.

The boy is growing like a weed and we are having a great time. I love being a dad.
Wow, Facebook seems to get all my attention and updates of pictures of Stryder…
So i thought i should post a pic of the wee man here so that those of you who have not drank the kool aid and are not in facebook can see what the kid looks like.

Life is going really well. We are having a great time with our new addition to our family. I can’t believe it has been 8 weeks since he was born already! Sleep is still something that is still a bit elusive, but it is getting better. Carol is an amazing mom and is doing such an incredible job with the little guy. We are doing our best to continue being active (i did an 8 hr mountain bike race with my brother in law at the end of September and Carol is getting set to play indoor ulti soon). We are all learning about each other.
Isis went through the 5 stages… and is now doing ok with things:
1. Denial: The initial stage: “It can’t be happening.”
2. Anger: “Why are you bouncing him on your knee? Why not ME? It’s not fair!”
3. Bargaining: “Just put him outside for a few hours and let me sleep in that comfy bassinet.”
4. Depression: “they don’t even notice me anymore”
5. Acceptance: “It’s going to be OK, i actually like the kid.”
Work is going really well. We have been getting closer and closer to an integrated Alliance Atlantis - CanWest Digital Media solution and the whole process has gone quite well. I think it is going to be a very interesting an fun year coming up!
I am very proud of the Goat this year. They had a great tournament down in Florida a couple of weeks ago losing in the semis at the most competitive Ultimate Frisbee tournament in the world. I am very proud to be an alumni of such a great team.
Life has really boiled down to the small things lately (a smile, or a “goooooo”) and we are really enjoying it.
I will try to update this thing once in a while, but if you want to see more photos of the Stryder man, you need to go through Facebook!
i need to make some updates to this site. wow, it is ridiculousness out of date.
soon, real soon….
I was snapping some shots of Carol at the park with her 38week preggers belly and got a shot of these two doing some sort of Martial Arts/dancing thing….

It was quite odd…
It was very hard to leave the dock on Sunday and drive back to the big shitty…

sigh…
Back from jolly old England today. Feelig a little jet lagged, but not too bad. Had a great trip and a good conference.
i had a little confusion over the fact that everyone kept asking me if i was alright… they would say: “Are y’alright?”… i was wondering what the hell was wrong with me, so i asked one of them why people think i don’t look alright.. Turns out it is their way of saying “Hi how are ya?” …
Snapped this pic at Piccadilly Circus a couple of days ago.

Of course today there is an international story from exactly at this same place…
Explosives-Packed Car Defused in London yikes…

Carol and i and “the boy” (who’s name according to Cameron is “Blank” until we name him) had a whirlwind tour of visiting friends and family in Vancouver the past few days. It was great to see everyone.
And because i have not been updating this blog as much as i did last year, i thought i should throw up a mountain biking picture. Here is today on the Durham Forest trails…
